Could Roy Keane be about to make a sensational return to his former club as manager of Nottingham Forest?
According to the Irish Independent the former Forest player could be in line to take over from the sacked Sean O Driscoll after watching Forest beat Leeds 4-2 at the City Ground. The decision to sack O Driscoll is surprising given the timing, coming after a win against a playoff rival and with Forest just one point of the playoffs as a result.
Forest chairman Al Hasawi said: “The timing of our decision may look a little odd after the win over Leeds but sometimes you need to make changes with the long-term future in mind.
“Sometimes those changes need to be made from a position of strength rather than weakness and that is what we are trying to do. We are looking to bring in an ambitious manager with Premier League experience.”
The Championship could be about to get a lot more interesting if Keane gets back in the manager’s seat.
