Monaghan v Antrim
Monaghan will clinch promotion with a win. Antrim may be relegated if they lose, depending on if Sligo beat or draw against Wicklow.
Sligo v Wicklow
Both of these sides start Week 7 in the bottom two. Sligo will stay in division 3 if they draw or win and Antrim lose. Wicklow can stay in the division if they win by a considerable amount and Antrim lose by a considerable amount, but it is highly doubtful that will happen.
Meath v Fermanagh
This is a winner takes all game in Navan on Sunday. Meath were staring relegation in the face after some awful results and performances at the start of the league. They have turned things around considerably with the comeback against Sligo showing a renewed attitude. Fermanagh lead Meath by a point so would earn promotion with a draw. A win would see Meath get promoted.
Cavan v Roscommon
Both of these sides are safe in the division and with a win stand a slim chance of promotion. Losses for Meath and Monaghan would give the winner of this clash promotion. Both sides would lose out to Fermanagh on head to head record if Meath won and Monaghan lost. A Fermanagh loss, Monaghan draw and a win for either of these sides would see score difference be the deciding factor. Cavan are on + 13 whereas Roscommon are on -5, Fermanagh and Monaghan are on + 22, so if this was to happen it would Cavan out of these two who ma stand a chance. That is a review of the many permutations.
Both of these sides have had a good level of Under 21 success in recent years and are two sides who will hope to be operating at a higher level in the future. Regardless of the result, both teams should be operating in this division again next year as it is unlikely results will fall the way to get any of them promoted.
